Privacy policy

Effective October 5, 2026

Open Metronome is an iPhone and iPad app created by Alex Zamai. The app does not collect or send personal data to the developer. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs, or tracking.

Settings and files

The app stores metronome settings, saved presets, and any sounds or background images you choose to import in its local app storage. It does not upload these files to a developer-operated service. iOS may include app data in device backups according to your system settings.

File and photo selection uses system pickers. The app only imports files you select. You can remove imported content through the app's controls. Deleting the app removes its local app storage, subject to Apple's backup and restore behavior.

Audio and Shortcuts

The app generates metronome audio and publishes playback information to iOS for headphone and lock-screen controls. It does not record microphone audio. Apple Shortcuts passes your selected tempo or preset to the app. These features do not send data to the developer.

Support email

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use them to answer your request. Please do not send sensitive information. Support messages are handled by the configured email providers and may be retained while a request is being resolved. You can ask us to delete your support correspondence.

This website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the site. We have not added analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or cookies. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for its handling of website traffic.

Children

The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. It does not require an account or include social features.
